Escalon Presbyterian Church was founded by fourteen original members on November 9, 1913.  The first meeting place was Fisk Hall on Main Street.  It soon moved to the old grammar school which was purchased by the church.  That building was damaged by fire, and services were held in the high school during parts of 1933 and 1934 while repairs were made.  The present church was built in 1959 by C. T. Brayton and Sons.

The stained glass windows in the sanctuary were designed and created by Carl Huneke, Century Stained Glass Studio, San Francisco, and were installed from 1959 through 1961.

The stained glass window in the center of the south wall of the sanctuary has a music theme designed by Alice Popp, with calligraphy by Dan Adams, and installation by Rodger and Penelope Prater.

The west window in the same wall has a mission theme which complements the music window.  That west window was installed in December 1995.

The theme of the east window in the same wall is the creativity of man  It uses the colors and patterns of the center window.  That window was designed by Eugene Pierre Spyksma in memory of his father.  It was installed in July 1997 by Rainbow Glass Works of Sacramento.
